"I blame Society for the way I am . I grew up on horror novels and war on TV. I was an artist/painter, white suburbanite skatepunk before I ever picked up a camera. Drawing skulls to emulate the great Pushead's work on the punk rock album covers and the scratched up skateboard decks. Then in 1990 I went and had my eyebrow pierced, that's when body modification claimed my soul. In paintings I would create impossible creations of humanoids with full torso piercings. The reaction I would get from viewers was a narcotic to me. I couldn't stop taking things to the next level. Then things changed when I was introduced to Photoshop and a digital camera. I was able to flesh out the pictures in my head more vividly with the digital medium. Fetish pictures came about in 1999 for me. I was hired to shoot a fetish ball here in Portland OR., and it is here I witnessed my first hook suspension. The images I caught that night created the faces that twist inside of me. I like dark things - it feels right, first nature. I like to expose the darker side of things, well actually I don't try, it just kinda happens that way. Bodymod / fetish/ artistic erotica are current realms that I shoot in on a weekly basis. Portland OR. provides a healthy under current of sideshow culture that keeps me scrambling. "
